 What is Amazon Kindle

Amazon Kindle is a line of e-readers and tablets developed and marketed by Amazon. The Kindle devices enable users to read and access digital books, newspapers, magazines, and other written content using an electronic display. The Kindle e-readers use e-ink technology to create a paper-like reading experience, while the Kindle Fire tablets offer a full-color touchscreen interface with access to various multimedia content, apps, and games.

The Kindle devices come with a wide range of features, including built-in Wi-Fi, storage capacity for thousands of books, long battery life, and the ability to download and store content from the Amazon Kindle Store. The Kindle Store provides access to millions of books, newspapers, magazines, and other digital content, including many bestsellers, and allows users to purchase from the Amazon Kindle library and download these materials  directly to their device. You can login to the Amazon Kindle account using the Amazon account credentials.

So, let’s dive in and learn how to send PDFs to your Kindle device using these three methods.

Method 1: Email a PDF to Your Kindle Device

You can email a PDF file directly to your Kindle device and it will appear in your Kindle library. This is the simplest and most convenient way to send the PDF file to a Kindle device. For this you need to first find the email address assigned to your kindle device.

Here’s how to use this method:

Finding your kindle email address

  1. Go to the Amazon website and log into your account.
  1. Go to the “Manage Your Content and Devices”
  2. Here, click on “Devices” tab
  3. Under Amazon devices, you can see your kindle device.
  4. Click on Kindle, and it will open the kindle device specifications.
  5. Click on your kindle device and here you will find the email address assigned to your Kindle device.

Now, email your pdf to kindle

Now that you have got the unique email address assigned to your Kindle device, follow the below steps to email the PDF to a kindle account.

  1. Go to the mailbox of the email account with which you login to your Amazon account. This is important. You have to send mail from your email address which you use to login to your Amazon account.
  2. Next, Compose a new email and attach the PDF file you want to send to your Kindle device.
  3. In the subject line of the email, type “convert.”
  4. No need to enter anything in the email’s body.
  5. Email the address associated with your Kindle device.
  6. After you send the email, you will receive an email from Amazon kindle support, asking you to approve the request that you have sent.
  7. Click on “verify request”, and your PDF will be available in your kindle device after some time.

How to change or add kindle email addresses ?

To prevent spam, your Kindle will only receive files from the email addresses associated to your Kindle account. If you want to email from any other email address, you have to add that email address to the allowed list. To approve your email address, follow these steps –
