How to Use the Image Converter

  1. Click the upload area or drag and drop your image file.
  2. Choose your target format (PNG, JPG, or WebP) from the dropdown.
  3. For JPG or WebP, adjust the quality slider if needed.

FAQs

What’s the difference between PNG, JPG, and WebP?
PNG supports transparency and lossless quality but produces larger files. JPG is smaller but doesn’t support transparency and uses lossy compression. WebP generally offers the best balance — smaller file sizes than JPG at similar quality, with optional transparency support — and is increasingly the preferred format for web use.

Will converting to JPG or WebP reduce image quality?
Some quality loss is possible since JPG and WebP use lossy compression, but at high quality settings (0.8–0.9) the difference is usually invisible to the eye while still reducing file size meaningfully.

Can I convert multiple images at once?
Currently this tool processes one image at a time. For batch compression specifically, see our Image Compressor tool.

Is my image uploaded to a server?
No — conversion happens entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your image never leaves your device.
